FAQ

FAQ's

Do I have to cook?

Nope, no cooking for you!  Like last time,  meals are provided (we even like vegans).  Most importantly, the coffee will be just as strong .

What will I be eating?

It’s Glamping, so no beans n franks.  Menu planning is underway, but by popular demand, we’ll have beignets and coffee for those of you who missed JazzFest, and Saturday’s “formal” (tux optional) will feature Italian cheeses to go with some amazing sparkling strong waters.

But will there be alcohol?

It’s glamping, folks; have you met us?  Besides our nightly wine and cheese, last year’s gin tasting will be replaced with a single malt scotch tasting, by Noah “I-canna-do-it-Captain” Friedman-Biglin, so get yer eye droppers ready.

What is there to do?

Besides normal mountain-y types things - hiking, swimming, and did we mention eating and drinking ... we are working on getting together a schedule of activities together. Check back soon for more lineup, but in the meantime, a few things to get excited for:

Noah has promised to lead a hike this year - so hopefully everyone will find their way back to Camp afterwards.

You ARE invited to the cookout.  Big news: there’s a good chance your donation from the last go-round will have fixed the BBQ pit sufficiently for us to have a real live hootenanny with BBQ!  If so, there will be sauces of the Kansas City smoke, Carolina sweet, Jamaican jerk, and California mild varieties.  I know, right?

Fear not, “Celebrity" will not change (except Jeffery is not allowed to put in German Royalty figures from the 18th Century).

Give me my money! There have been rumors swirling about a competitive game night, which may or may not include bid whist, dominoes (Wedel Rules), cribbage, and full contact butterfly wrestling.

Glamping is a collaborative effort, so if you have any activities you would like to lead - let us know!
